Everyone talking about the official cars for state executive councillors.
At the beginning, Kuala Terengganu state government placed a deposit for a high-end Mercedes-Benz.Then nation gov made noise on it and claimed that there is no special order for a Mercedes-Benz S class for the "Menteri Besar".
Kuala Terengganu state gov claimed that they had paid RM235,123.08 to maintain the Proton Perdana V6 Executive used by former Terengganu Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh from 2004 to this year. (Utusan Malaysia reported)
WOW!!! RM235,123.08 ?? Paid so much money only to maintain for 16 cars? Must be hidden story at the behind...
ACA (Anti-Corruption Agency) has started a probe into the alleged high costs of maintaining the 16 Proton Perdana V6 Executive cars. ACA Officers at 24th July 2008 visited the State Secretariat and State Treausury at Wisma Darul Iman here to question senior officials over the issue.Hopefully, they can really do something on it. If i'm not mistaken, I heard that ACA only has around 4% of success rate.
Today, Selangor Government is now hinting that they may choose the Toyota Camry as the official cars for its state executive councillors.Ronnie Liu (State executive councillor for Local Government, Studies and Research) said that Mentri Besar has not made a decision but he feel there won't be any objection as the Toyota Camry is much cheaper than the Mercedes.
Haha... so funny... no objection because they are going to purchase a car which is cheaper than Mercedes that purchased by Kuala Terengganu State Gov.
However, personally i think Toyota Camry is a good car and i think the petrol consumption should be cheaper than Perdana V6.
